Hi there all,
I'll like to interact with the very few members which we're having on this forum. Equity Section was started around two years back. I found that there was not any forum who was throwing lights on basics regarding investment. For a non-financial background like me, I found it very difficult to make my way through. But then, I learned & read a lot. I tried to write topics for new comers to stock markets, like Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, Financial Indicators / Ratios, How to start analysing a company?, Understanding Working Capital etc.
A basic aim of every investor is and should be to learn as much as one can about a particular business he's interested in. Only on the basis of calculated judgements can he take a call. Often, holdings of different investors can catch your attention towards particular businesses. Thats why this thread was initiated long back (but never written) but I myself was never able to disclose my holdings.
I as of now hold only one stock Bajaj Corp. I have been holding it for 2 years. Seems a good nice little company.
Its good to have a small group discussing in a cohesive manner these things. Kindly continue the discussion forward on this thread.
